Relations between contentpages and menustructure

Unlike most other CMS systems on the market, you can assign more than one contentpage to a menuitem, linking them together and presenting them at different locations on your page design.

In the image above, there is 2 contentpages assigned to the Menustructure item "Contact" and "Contact_Top". They are marked with Index 1 and Index 2.

When a visitors clicks on Contact, ID Constructor opens the relevant Page Design for the menuitem, and parses the Contenpages into the design, inserting contentpage at their corresponding index locations on the page design.

Using this functionality it is possible to replace multiple content regions when given menuitems are chosen (ie. topbanners or other information).

Editing and assigning content by index

When utilizing more than one content index, you can easily edit, add and modify content by it's index. Simply select the menuitem in the menudesign editor, and hover your mouse over "Contentpages and settings":

It is now possible to change the view to another content index; ranging from 1 to 9, simply by clicking on the index you want to edit:

Once you have chosen the index you want to modify, the editor changes the content or displays "No contentpage attached". If you want to attach a new contentpage, simply hover your mouse on "Contentpages and settigns" again, and click "Create page".

If you want to assign an existing contentpage to the menuitem, drag-n-drop a contentpage on the large icon or click the link "assign a contentpage to this menuitem" at the bottom of the screen.
